Adult-Use/Recreational FAQs

When will Cassville Dispensary open to adult-use (non-medical) buyers?

Adult-use opened in February 2023.

What about long lines and wait times for Medical Patients?

At our facility, Missouri Medical Card holders are considered our VIPs (Very Important Patients). Medical Patients have dedicated registers and will be served first. Please skip the line and check in at security if you hold your MMJ card.

Adult-use consumers will be served on a first come-first served basis. We recommend ordering online. We will serve preorder adult-use consumers inside as quickly as possible and will try to expedite pre-orders.

How much am I allowed to purchase as a patient?

As of December 8, 2022, licensed patients are able to purchase up to 6 ounces per 30 days (up from 4 ounces). With that, patients are now allowed to possess (ex. have at home) up to 12 ounces, a two month supply. Patient Cultivators may possess up to 18oz. Adult-use consumers may purchase 3 oz. at any given time, which is also the legal possession limit. Some doctors may approve higher limits. Notify us at check-in if your allotment has changed.

Do you offer discounts?

Yes! We offer a medical discount for card holders. We also offer additional medical discounts for veterans, healthcare workers, educators, and seniors (65+). During your birthday week, you may also get 5% off a single purchase as our way of saying Happy Birthday to you! Veterans qualify for a 10% discount on the recreational side with proof of service. Additional discounts may be available based on need. Reach out to a manager for more information if you're struggling affording cannabis for your medical needs.

Are there other changes to the medical marijuana program?

As of December 8, 2022, state renewal fees for medical and caregiver cards were reduced to $25. All cards issued as of that date will be valid for 3 years. Cards approved prior to Dec 8, 2022, will only be valid until their one-year expiration.

Fees paid to the state for patient cultivation ($50) and caregiver ($25) applications have also changed. All cards will be valid three years on the medical side of the program.

Adult (age 21+) possession of up to 3 ounces of marijuana became legal December 8. However, retail sale of marijuana to adults will not begin until licenses are converted by the Department of Health and Human Services (DHSS). A timeline for adult use implementation is published on the DHSS website at https://health.mo.gov/safety/medical-marijuana/pdf/mm-adult-use-timeline.pdf.

Adult-use cultivation cards will be $100, valid one year, and applications should be open Februayr 6, 2023.

What benefit is it to keep my medical card?

Thinking about letting your medical card expire now that adult use is almost here? Here are some differences between the two programs that you might want to consider.

Medical patients are permitted to purchase up to 6 ounces (or the equivalent) of marijuana every 30 days. Medical card holders are also allowed to possess up to 12 ounces (a 60 day supply). All medical marijuana purchases are taxed at 4% in addition to local retail sales taxes. Medical card holders are still required to get a physician’s certification when it is time to renew their license. All medical licenses issued by the DHSS after December 8, 2022, will have a 3 year expiration, meaning patients only need one physician certification and state license fee every 3 years.

Adult-use consumers will be permitted to purchase up to 3 ounces in a single transaction and are only allowed to possess up to 3 ounces. There is no state license or application fee, but purchases will be taxed at 6% in addition to local retail sales taxes plus a possible 3% tax imposed by the local government.

What are your hours?

We are open Monday through Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. We are open most major holidays except for New Years Day, Independence Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day. If we are closed for weather or an emergency, we will always post on our Facebook Page

What should I bring to the dispensary?

Ready to make a purchase in our dispensary!?! We are so excited to meet you and get you taken care of! We need a couple of documents from you every time you visit. Please bring your current, not expired, state-issued ID (drivers license or non-driver identification, passport or VA card works). You will also need to bring your medical marijuana patient card issued by DHSS. A digital copy on your phone or tablet is totally okay. You will download that card through your patient portal profile (where you applied for your patient MMJ card).

If you are a veteran, bring in your ID card for an additional discount at checkout.

Having trouble accessing your patient card? As long as you know the email address AND password you used when applying for your card, we can help you access it and show you what to do! Just ask at our front desk when you walk in.

Where are you located?

Our dispensary is located at 15335 State Highway 76 in Cassville, MO 65625 in the same building as Pot of Coffee. We are easily found on Google maps and Apple maps. We are NOT located at Roark Family Health Clinic & Medical Spa; the dispensary is a totally separate location. Physician Certifications are NOT done at our location.

What kinds of products do you have?

We carry all kinds of medical marijuana products, including dried flower/bud, various edibles,  and concentrates. We also carry tinctures, ointments, transdermal patches, and more as those products become available. We also have a full line of grow supplies, accessories, head shop supplies and more. We offer the largest selection of one-stop shopping cannabis grow and supplies of pretty much any dispensary around! We also carry a variety of glass pieces and accessories by local artists.

Where do you get your medical marijuana?

Our medical marijuana comes only from Missouri-licensed growers and manufacturing facilities that have been vetted by our team. Every single product on our shelves is tried and true and lab-tested to make sure you are getting the highest quality product at the lowest possible price to our patients.

Are children allowed inside the dispensary?

Yes! We recently changed our policy to allow patients and non-patients under the age of 18 to enter the dispensary. For patients under the age of 18, they can go on the sales floor with their primary caregiver. For parent/guardian patients with children under the age of 18, they can come on the sales floor while you make your purchase. NOTE: Only 2 children per patient can come on the sales floor.

Do you have online ordering?

Yes! We have online ordering available. If you know what you'd like, you can order your medicine ahead of time, and it will be ready for you to pick up.  Patients still need to have their identity verified at the dispensary to pick up their medication either inside or at the drive thru. Online ordering for the next day begins at 6:30 p.m. the evening before and is open until 6:30 p.m. Online ordering for the current day closes at 5:45 p.m.

When placing your order, you will be given the option of in-store pickup or drive thru. You are then presented with available time slots for pick up. Please pay attention to which time slot you pick and plan to arrive at the dispensary during that time. Orders must be picked up on the day the order was placed. We cannot hold orders for the next day. If you are unable to pick up your order during your designated time slot, please call the dispensary to let us know. Orders will be restocked if not picked up by one hour after your designated time slot in order to better serve our customers.

In order to keep our drive thru running smoothly, we have instituted a 3-Strikes Policy with regard to order pick up. This policy was instituted due to the number of orders in a given day that are not picked up, which takes our staff’s time away from patients with questions or concerns. After 3 instances of not picking up an order without contacting us or arriving prior to your designated order slot, we will decline your online orders. Should this happen, you are still welcome to come inside and shop with us.

Patients and customers may pick up orders in the Drive Thru or in-store.

I have my patient card and just don't know where to begin or what questions to ask when I come to the dispensary. Help!

You can be guaranteed that we have the most knowledgeable, compassionate, and well-trained staff around. Our floor staff are able to answer your questions and help you find the products to give you the relief you need. We will also have a trained RN specializing in patient education on staff to meet with patients privately in  our consultation room if your questions are more in-depth or you'd like more privacy. From how to take your marijuana medicine to dosing and recommended strains or even how to grow your own, we are here for you!

I'm a home cultivator looking for genetics, can I get those from the dispensary?

Usually, we have seeds available for authorized home cultivators to purchase. Unfortunately at this time we are sold out of seeds. Missouri law dictates we only order seeds from Missouri licensed cultivation facilities. At this time we are still seeking a supplier.

Can I return something I purchased?

We encourage all of our patients to report quality or satisfaction concerns with the products they buy at our facility. If you are unhappy with any part of your purchase, please call the dispensary at (417) 665-1990 to speak with a member of our management team to arrange for a credit or return.
While we cannot accept returns of anything that is removed from original packaging, we very often can give you a credit to try a new product that might better suit your needs, if appropriate.

Returns will not be accepted more than 30 days after purchase.

I don't have a card, can I come in the dispensary to purchase?

Yes! As of February 2023, anyone over the age of 21 is welcome to visit the dispensary and purchase from us.

Do you sell CBD products? I just don't want the THC in medical marijuana.

We offer CBD products! You can purchase without a MMJ card online or in our lobby.

I'm interested in medical marijuana, but I'm worried about my privacy.

We take patients' rights and privacy very seriously. All of our staff are fully trained in HIPAA compliance and can be trusted with your privacy and information. For patients who are still worried, we will offer home deliveries during specified times to patients within Barry County eventually.

I am a medical marijuana cardholder in another state, can I visit the dispensary?

Yes! Per the Amendment 3, we recognize out of state medical marijuana cards the same as Missouri MMJ cards. At our dispensary, this entitles you to a substantial medical discount as well as access to our Deli-Style Flower sales.

Are you hiring?

Whether we are hiring or not, we are always accepting resumes/cover letters via email at info@cassvilledispensary.com.
